Over the years, the NICTM Library has developed relevant collections suitable for learning, research, and innovations. The Library is staffed with highly skilled manpower, committed to service delivery in line with the objectives of the Institute and global best practices.
The NICTM Main Library is the central research and information Centre responsible for the information needs and research endeavors of the students, staff, and faculty members in the polytechnic and external researchers. It is the knowledge warehouse that supplies the information needed for the academic well-being of the academic programs in the polytechnic.

Over the years, the NICTM Library has developed relevant collections suitable for learning, research and innovations. The Library is staffed with highly skilled manpower, committed to services delivery in line with the objectives of the Institute and global best practices.
With huge investment by the Polytechnic Management and support from the TETFund, the NICTM Library prides itself as one of the most innovative and smart academic libraries in Nigeria. The massive deployment and integration of ICTs into our library services, has positioned us to meet the needs of our community, and partner with users to drive innovation and advance scholarship to address grand challenges in the construction industry, sciences, technology, management and engineering with special reference to the Nigerian Society.
As a Federal Government owned Polytechnic, we embrace diversity of people and ideas, and guards against barriers between information resources and users irrespective of their religion, culture, background, political affiliation, ethnicity etc. We ensure equitable delivery of library and information services that meet international best-practices.
The main library is located in a one-storey gigantic edifice located at the NICTM Permanent Site along Uromi-Ugboha Road, Uromi, Edo State, Nigeria. The Library accommodates over 200 users at a time in the different library sections.
To cater for different categories of users, the Library acquires information materials in both print and electronic formats thereby promoting access and support to our users’ preferred choice of information need. At present, the NICTM Library holds over 50,000 volumes of printed and electronic information resources.
For easy access and retrieval of our resources, the Library of Congress (LC) Classification System was adopted and materials can be called out using our hybrid devices of the library card catalogue or the online public access catalogue (OPAC).
